Turbo Charger 1200 instructions

Free connector head (including for your Sony PSP) from proporta.com/freestuff

1) USB TurboCharger 1200
The USB TurboCharger 1200 is a compact, high powered rechargeable battery which charges from any standard USB port and stores an impressive 1200 mAh, allowing you to power and charge most leading mobile devices – including mobile phones, iPods/MP3 players, PDAs, Smartphones, GPS navigation devices and digital cameras.

To begin using your USB TurboCharger 1200, first charge the product using the cable attached through the USB port on your computer (or other charging accessory with USB port). Note that the USB TurboCharger 1200 is pre-charged normally to around 50-75% and can be used straight from the box. Once the unit has been connected to its power source, the lights on the front of the product will give a dynamic indication of the charging state. Once it is fully charged, the 3 LED will shine bright.

To charge your device, connect it to the USB TurboCharger 1200, using one of the supplied cables and the appropriate connector head, and press the power indicator button below the LED. When the USB TurboCharger 1200 is almost empty, the leftmost LED will flash – this indicates that it needs to be recharged. To stop charging your device, simply unplug the cable; after around 30 seconds, the LED will switch off completely.

TIP: The USB TurboCharger 1200 can be used with the Proporta USB Travel Charger to ensure a full charge anywhere in the world.

2) Proporta USB Travel Charger (AC to USB Adaptor)*
*This product is included with the USB TurboCharger 1200 World Pack
The Proporta USB Travel Charger accepts input voltages from 110-240 volts AC supplied at 50-60 hertz, so it is suitable for use worldwide (Europe*, USA, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East and elsewhere). It converts this for use by any USB device, supplying 5 volts at up to 1000** milliamps through a standard USB port (like the one on your PC/Mac). Insert the appropriate adaptor for your current region, and insert the charger into the AC wall power supply as you normally would with a computer USB port. As with all electrical appliances, avoid using the Proporta USB Travel Charger in damp or high humidity conditions and avoid exposure to water and condensation.

• UK Region Adaptor

5 volts or 5.5 volts?
A standard USB port (like the one on your PC or Mac) has an output voltage of 5 volts DC. This is enough to charge the iPod nano/classic and almost all mobile devices. However, some devices (Nokia for example), prefer 5.5 volts DC and may charge a little more efficiently at that voltage.

Because there is so little difference between 5 volts and 5.5 volts, no damage will result from using 5.5 volts with a 5 volt device (or vice versa). However, if your device prefers 5.5 volts (please check the instruction manual), you may find that switching your USB TurboCharger 1200 to the 5.5 volt setting improves its performance.

TIP: Try the 5 volt setting first and switch to 5.5 volts if need be.

The larger and more powerful USB TurboCharger 3400 is optimised to charge all devices at 5 volts and does not have the voltage selector switch.
