Frequently Asked Questions - Charging Solutions
Q: How much charge will a standard 9 volt battery give me?
A: A 9V battery will give a 45-60% charge from a full (new) battery.*
* Tested with an alkaline cell and a Compaq iPAQ. Similar results can be expected from other devices.
Q: Will your USB sync-charge leads work with all USB ports?
A: Yes: they are compatible with both 2.0 and 1.1 USB ports.
Q: I can't get the synchronisation to work, what should I do?
A: Try unplugging the cable, then plugging it back in with your computer switched off and rebooting your computer. This will give the PC/Mac a chance to 'recognise' the new device.
Q: If I leave my handheld on charge, can it be 'overcharged' and damaged?
Q: Can a dead 9 volt battery 'sap' the energy from my device?
A: No. But if you are using a 9 volt battery to charge your handheld (or phone) and the charge is complete, if your handheld or phone is switched on then it will begin to discharge the unit's own battery. If the 9 volt battery is dead then you will be using power from your device in the normal way.
