Apple iPhone 6 iOS boot

For those of you lucky enough to use the Apple Watch or the proud owner of a iPhone 6 or 6 plus.

Be aware that someone with a crafty designed text message all in non-latin characters from languages such as Arabic, Chinese
and Marathi could cause it to crash.

This 75-byte sequence of Unicode is all it takes to trigger a glitch, which forces a reboot to Apple’s recover mode.

The issue was first spotted by a Redditor who received the text you can see below.

Apple iMessage causes crash

Every time you read the message, the issue is triggered again rebooting your iPhone or other Apple Device.

Here is some advice to fix the issue:

1. Turn off lock screen notifications, which if you’ve not received a text will protect you before you do.

2. If its too late and some joker has already sent you a message then you should get a friend to send you a new message. This will flush out the problematic message but be warned, reopen it and you’re back to the thunder-crash moment.
