March 20th Parital Solar eclipse selfie epidemic

At 9.30am this morning, over Proporta HQ (or quite possibly not, it’s pretty overcast at the moment) the solar eclipse will be at its peak.

Selfie Blindness is the buzzword this morning. Some sources even reporting that taking selfies with your Smartphone could damage the sensor of your camera lens.

You can learn how to make a shoebox pinhole camera and view the eclipse safely here:

Interesting fact (thanks, Brian Cox)… The sun and moon appear the same size from Earth because the sun’s diameter is about 400 times greater, whilst the sun is also, coincidentally, about 400 times further away. This is the kind of thing that could make you believe in the big man, but as we’re from Brighton we’re sitting on the fence.

Although Brian wasn’t available for comment, Bonnie Tyler has reported that every time she turns around she falls apart.
